The DoD is in search of a solution that enables a single operator to manage multiple unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) targets and is capable of fire control providing the ability to rapidly adapt to counter swarms of unmanned systems along with other potential manned or unmanned system threats to reduce threats and increase the observation, orient, decision, and act (OODA) process. Interested innovators may submit solutions to DIU for the potential of Other Transaction (OT) agreements.

The DoD is looking to streamline business processes and third-party capital investment by partnering with commercial industry to leverage best-in-class business processes to improve resilience gaps, protracted time to completion, and antiquated terms of collaboration. Interested innovators may submit solutions to DIU for the potential of Other Transaction (OT) agreements.

The DoD is in search of commercialized and rechargeable battery cells for small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) to align with baseline performance profiles in the commercial markets. The battery cells should have recurring commercial revenue, transparent materials sourcing, and a manufacturing pilot line and roadmap to onshore, friendshore, or scale domestic/Allied production in the 10s-100s of MWh/yr, relative to the company’s business plan. Interested innovators may submit solutions to DIU for the potential of Other Transaction (OT) agreements.

The Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) strengthens national security by accelerating the adoption of commercial technology in the Department of Defense and bolstering our allied and national security innovation bases. DIU partners with organizations across the DoD to rapidly prototype and field dual-use capabilities that solve operational challenges at speed and scale. With offices in Silicon Valley, Boston, Austin, Chicago and Washington, D.C., DIU is the Department’s gateway to leading technology companies across the country. |
NSIN is a component of the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) program office. We are set up to collaborate with a wide variety of innovators to include universities, researchers, students, entrepreneurs and start-ups. We create opportunities for collaboration across communities and connect those that might not traditionally work in national security. Together, we help drive national security innovation and develop technologies that directly support the individuals responsible for protecting our country. |
