Pre-Series A ventures interested in the government market are invited to apply for the 2024 NSIN Vector program. Companies selected for Vector will work with experts from NSIN and the military to develop dual-use technologies and compete for non-dilutive funding awards. The 2024 Vector program seeks technologies to address advanced sensing, data sharing, command and control, resilient position navigation and timing, and contested communications. Vector applications are due May 10.

Learn more about integrating and diversifying opportunities in the defense supply chain during the third edition of the India-U.S. Defense Acceleration Ecosystem (INDUS-X) Gurukul Educational Series. Innovators with unique solutions to identifying capabilities utilizing electromagnetic spectrum technologies (EMS) are invited to engage in the AUKUS Electronic Warfare Innovation Challenge. This challenge is one of three compeitions held through Pillar II of the Australian, United Kingdom (U.K.), and the United States security partnership. The challenge closes on May 23, 2024.

Apply for the next Foundry cohort today and collaborate with federal laboratories to commercialize breakthrough defense technologies and build new companies. Selected innovators will participate in a virtual, five-month cohort where they will have access to instruction, DoD inventors and end-users, mentorship from DoD and private sector subject-matter experts, and training that will prepare them to do business with the DoD and private sector. Applications for Foundry are due July 1.

Staff members at Air University worked on the pressing challenges during a three-day event focused on aligning strategy on emerging threats. The participants leveraged the principles of human-centered design they learned during the event to deliver four solutions for national security challenges.

NSIN alum Cyvl.ai, whose geospatial technologies for digitizing and analyzing infrastructure provide industry and the government with the ability to easily track maintenance needs, announced $6 million of new investments in their latest funding round. This funding will be used to establish and develop relationships with engineering firms and government agencies to integrate technology into solutions.

NSIN Alum Shield AI announced that it will be purchasing Sentient Vision Systems, an Australian company, in hopes to grow their market. Both companies have worked closely through their joint development of ViDAR-enabled wide area motion imagery payload called Sentient Observer, which will support AUKUS (Australia-United Kingdom-United States) Pillar II’s focus on cutting edge technologies.

Innovators interested in emerging technologies can hear from founders and CEOs, government officials, Academy Award winners, and more to learn about tech trends in multiple industries at the eMerge Americas conference in Miami, Florida. NSIN Southeast Regional Director Beverly Seay will speak about emerging dual-use and defense technology trends during a panel discussion at the conference.
