A cohort of twelve early-stage ventures will accelerate their commercial solutions to advance the integrated deterrence, crisis, and conflict readiness of Special Operations Forces (SOF) during the 2023 NSIN Propel Boston Accelerator. The selected startups will work alongside DoD mission partners to enhance SOF capabilities with digital mission engineering, human-machine interfaces, and unmanned systems.


SEPT. 13, 2023 
Learn about government technology needs and opportunities to work with DIU and NSIN during the Florida Regional Roadshow at the Central Florida Tech Grove in Orlando. Representatives from DIU and NSIN will be available to answer questions and help open doors for ventures to work with the DoD.

SEPT. 14, 2023 
Connect with venture capitalists, investors, and leaders from industry and government at San Diego Innovation Day. NSIN Acting National Operations Director Jesse Gipe, NSIC Director Tex Schenkkan, and DIU Strategic Engagement Commander Mark Lennon will be on-site to give a panel presentation on how innovators can connect with DIU, NSIC, and NSIN and leverage our respective programs to accelerate their ventures. 


SEPT. 21, 2023 
Ten startups will share their solutions for improving the Air Force’s resilient basing and moving target engagement at the NSIN Propel New York Showcase Day. The dual-use ventures will pitch to venture capital, commercial startup accelerators, and DoD stakeholders. 

OCT. 17, 2023 
Learn how leaders in the public sector are working to spur innovation and reshape the future of government. NSIN Venture Portfolio Director and Director of Enterprise Services Abigail Desjardins, Director of Innovation at the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority Robert Bornhofen, and Entrepreneur-In-Residence at BMNT Sabra Horne will lead the conversation.


NSIN alumni SCOUT Space enables industry and government to safeguard orbital equipment from spaced-based threats with in-space observation data. The venture has acquired Free Space, which aims to safeguard critical space-based infrastructures from hostile actors by providing the government and private industry with effective space domain awareness.

SEPT. 15, 2023

Innovators with technologies for in-space health and biotechnology, stations and facilities, advanced materials and manufacturing, on-orbit operational data management, hardware for space observation, monitoring, and sensing, and the utilization of space-derived data may submit their solutions to TechConnect for the opportunity to pitch their solutions to funders and representatives from the government and industry. The top five pitches will be awarded $10,000 each in prizes. One of the prizes is specifically allocated for a technology initially developed at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) or Minority Serving Institution (MSI).

Innovators with low-cost, high-resolution medium format, daylight readable displays for mixed reality headsets may submit their solutions for the opportunity to receive up to $1.9 million in small business innovation research (SBIR) funding from the Army.
