This semester, NSIN students at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa worked with the U.S. Army 25th Infantry Division to deliver solutions for the warfighter. Two of the student projects have been selected for additional funding and development, including a set of standard operating procedures that will allow warfighters to access behavioral telehealth appointments while stationed abroad and a flight scheduling system meant to streamline a process that currently relies on spreadsheets.

The application deadline for the NGA SynGen Challenge has been extended to Thursday, June 1. Innovate the generation of synthetic (SynGen) training data for military computer vision algorithms with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). Finalists are eligible for a potential federal funding award of up to $75,000.

Software innovators with tools for assessing configuration settings to improve interoperability during distributed training may be awarded part of a $100,000 prize purse by Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD). Submissions are due June 20, 2023.
