The application period for the 2023 NSIN Foundry program has been extended to Sunday, May 7. Apply now for the opportunity to collaborate with federal laboratories to commercialize breakthrough defense technologies and build new companies. Participants will compete for part of $50,000 in prizes to expand their venture during the program showcase.

The application deadline for the NGA SynGen Challenge has been extended to Thursday, June 1. Innovate the generation of synthetic (SynGen) training data for military computer vision algorithms with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). Finalists are eligible for a potential federal funding award of up to $75,000.

Tomahawk Robotics provides warfighters unified control of multiple unmanned systems with its artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled robotic technology. With the five-year, $55 million contract, the team will develop its Flexible Cyber Secure Radio (FlexCSR) — an encrypted radio system with interchangeable frequency modules — with the Navy to reduce obsolescence and ensure interoperability of radio devices with future robotic systems.

A team of NSIN Capstone students from the University of Louisville (UofL) won third place in the university’s Engineering Design & Innovation Showcase (EDIS) and received the Deloitte Award for Innovation. The students have spent the spring semester in NSIN Capstone working with Tesseract, the Air Force's logistics innovation organization, to improve cargo loading software for the Air Force. The Capstone team was selected from a group of more than 51 student teams who highlighted cutting-edge and innovative design projects at the showcase.

Work with DoD and government stakeholders like the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Information Directorate, the premier research organization for command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) and cyber technologies for the U.S. Air Force, in NSIN’s latest accelerator, NSIN Propel New York. Selected companies for the accelerator will have opportunities to test, evaluate, and demonstrate technology for DoD mission partners and venture capitalists. Applications are due May 8.

Attend the 2023 Lantern Symposium at Hanscom Air Force Base for an opportunity to connect with local innovation leaders and discover opportunities for regional collaboration. Participating organizations include NSIN, DIU, Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, Northeastern University, and the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

Innovators with novel ideas for antenna designs that offer performance improvements and/or a reduction in size, weight, power and cost may submit their solutions to Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) for the potential to be invited to the Bringing Classified Innovation to Defense and Government Systems (BRIDGES) consortium where they will be awarded $50,000 in government funding and sponsored for a facility clearance. Submissions are due May 31, 2023.

Innovators with technologies that support warfighters, making their jobs easier and safer through improvements to strategy, operations, and training, may be eligible to receive different awards from DARPA. Submissions are due June 2.
