About Challenges

The Challenge Program, a component of our Venture Portfolio, orchestrates prize challenge competitions where early to mid-stage ventures and non-traditional defense contractors present their innovative technologies to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) customers and subject matter experts. These competitions offer monetary and non-monetary awards to winning companies, fostering their development while providing the DoD with opportunities for collaboration and business with non-traditional vendors.

Aligned with our Venture Portfolio’s mission, the Challenge Program facilitates access to emerging dual-use technologies for the DoD, addressing both commercial and defense needs.
